My Family

I will start my new year of blogging with a little more background for you lovely folks, just so you can see what you are dealing with. Time to talk about my family, which honestly won't take very long.

I live with my mother in small apartment. Yes she is single. And I like it that way. Mum had me when she was 18, actually just six days after her own birthday. You're probably all thinking "Single teenage mother, how in the hell did you turn out so well?" Probably because we both managed to over come every possible stereotype that comes with singe teenage mums and those who are raised by them. My mother still managed to take care of me full time while finishing high school. She also completed two years of college and two years of university, as well as being a full time mother and supported us with various part time jobs without any help from the government. She is the smartest person I know (in real life).

I also live with my cat. Her name is Maggie. There is not too much I can say about her, she's a cat. Just spend a couple of hours on tumblr or something. I personally think she's the cutest cat ever though.

You cannot in any way resist this face. Look at her and tell me you hate cats.

"But where's your dad?" Funny you should ask. If we go according to the laws of parents that aren't together then it should be that my father is a dead beat and I'm not in touch with him anymore. Which is actually completely untrue. My dad is awesome. He remarried when I was seven and my step-mom is pretty nice. My step-brother on the other hand probably has the worst social skills I have ever seen on a human being. This is including Sherlock Holmes and Sheldon Copper.

My dad owns his own IT company known as Leadwave something-or-other. He's pretty well off financially and likes to spend money on me even though it makes me feel super fuckin uncomfortable to the nth degree. In terms of interests and hobbies I have more in common with him then I do with mum.

My family is pretty small, but I like it.

Oh Hey, Didn't See Ya There

Hello, smart masses. If you're reading this then you probably thought the page design looked cool. Good job, you've just stumbled upon yet another angst-y teenager.

My name is Abigayle. I live in a small town in Ontario, which if you're not from Canada is probably the only province you know of. Don't worry, where I live doesn't matter. I'm here to amuse you with the goings on in my life. I'm 17 years old and will be starting my very last year of high school in nine days. Not that I was counting or anything. I've transferred to a new high school just recently and this will be my first year going to public school, and the first time in 3 years I got to wear civilian clothes to school. To anyone subjected to wearing a uniform I'm sure you understand my pain.

The main things you should know about me is that I'm a giant nerd (and proud of it) and that my main hobbies include sewing and knitting. They top school on my list of three I'll be applying to is Sheridan for their Textile Art and Design program, which means I will get to do those things every day. I don't like telling people that I want to be a Fashion Designer because the title honestly makes me feel weird. Like a diva or something. I swear I'm not a diva. Despite wanting to be a seamstress, I'm still holding out for being nerd-famous.

Throughout these blogs you will learn more and more about someone who has always been considered a little strange. This is about me. A misfit. But everyone has at least one quality that makes them a misfit to somebody. Hell, if the queen bee set foot in the conventions that I frequent then she would most likely be a misfit to everyone in the room. Being left out or being made fun of is something that everyone can relate to. I was almost gonna end this post like the end of The Breakfast Club, but you catch my drift.

     Over and Out. For now.
